Christmas Tree Puzzles - (1st)

The students painted three different 9 x 12 papers using two primary colors for each, then scratched the surface with plastic forks to make texture. No student names were written on back.

I cut all the 9 x 12 painted papers into 1 1/2 x 12 strips.

The students selected a painted strip and cut the white edges off the ends.
Then they cut it in half. The half pieces are folded again.
We drew two large circles and cut them out.

We also cut small strips.

The small strips and circles were glued on the tree sections to create a pattern.
Along the edge of the tree, dots were made with silver or red markers. This added a tiny pattern that looked like tree lights.  Finally a Christmas style muffin cup was cut and glued for a tree-topper.
