Lion Puppets - (Kindergarten)

"Roar," goes the lion. But don't be afraid these lions only eat animal crackers. Kindergarteners paint, color, and construct a lion puppet to perform in the Greatest Lion Show.
On the last day of this project the children made their puppets roll over, roar, sleep, snore, jump to catch a fly, lick their owner, and strut in a lion parade around the room. Circus music was played to create a fun ambiance.

We traced a head pattern on 9 x 12 white paper, then painted a three color pattern of lion mane colors. Students practice their painting skills and washing their brush between colors.
